George’s goal is to help

As the Co-founder of the Community Paramedic Integration Project (CPIP), he is deeply passionate about paramedicine and understands the importance of community paramedic programs in improving healthcare accessibility. George’s goal is to help establish the first community paramedic program in a developing nation, driven by his commitment to creating lasting change in underserved communities.

His work in Canada and his deep connection to Sri Lanka drive his commitment to enhancing access to quality medical care in rural Sri Lanka.

  Dr. Owais is a clinician, health professional educator, researcher, and disaster relief planner with a demonstrated history of working, initiating, and supervising in healthcare, & higher education. Skilled in academic program evaluation, and quality curriculum development online, in person, and a hybrid format. Educational background; 

  Dr. Owais is a clinician, health professional educator, researcher, and disaster relief planner with a demonstrated history of working, initiating, and supervising in healthcare, & higher education. Skilled in academic program evaluation, and quality curriculum development online, in person, and a hybrid format. Educational background; M.B.B.S. from Dow Medical College, a Master's Degree focused in Anatomical Science and curriculum development from Queen's University, & enrolled in PhD (Medical and Health Professional Education) at EVMS.
